After pickups we travel to Blackpool for our stay at the Parkhouse Hotel.

We travel this morning to the elegant seaside resort of Southport.

Southport boasts a beautiful and expansive coastline, 22 miles of natural beauty, making it a great place to escape the busy city. Why not build sandcastles on the beach or eat fish and chips on the promenade. 

Southport Pier, the second longest and oldest iron pier in England is a great place to blow the cobwebs away.  A walk to the end or a trip on the pier tram offers views across to Blackpool and the North Wales coast. . One of Southport’s more unusual attractions is the British Lawnmower Museum – the only museum of its kind in the world housing over 200 restored exhibits. 

Pick up a bargain today when we travel to the popular Bury Market with a vibrant atmosphere and a variety of stalls.

Afterwards there will be time in Bury.

Thrill-seekers can enjoy the thrills and spills of the white knuckle rides at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, visit the world famous Blackpool Tower, one of the most loved and recognisable landmarks in the world and home to the famous Tower Ballroom, The Tower Circus, The Blackpool Tower Dungeons, The Blackpool Tower Circus and The Blackpool Tower Eye.

Those looking for an animal-mad adventure, visit Blackpool Zoo, or swim with sharks at SEA LIFE Blackpool.  You can even meet the stars at Madame Tussauds.

A trip to Blackpool is a trip back in time. The donkey rides, cabaret shows, and sticks of rock candy haven’t really changed in a generation, and there’s something charming about that.

We leave the hotel after breakfast to make our way home.
