DAY 1


After pickups we make a stop at the pretty town of Grassington before travelling on to Craiglands Hotel in Ilkley
for our 5 night stay.

DAY 2


Today we visit Wensleydale Creamery/Cheese Factory then onto Hawes for a sheepdog demonstration.

PLEASE NOTE: APPROPRIATE FOOTWEAR IS REQUIRED FOR THE SHEEPDOG DEMO AS THIS TAKES PLACE IN A FIELD

DAY 3


We leave the hotel to travel to Leeming Bar to board the Wensleydale Railway for a scenic railway journey to Leyburn, the Station used in the show known as the Herriot Country Line.

The coach will meet you here and then travel to Askrigg where the programme was originally filmed and known as Darrowby where you will get to see the fictional Drovers Arms.

We continue then to Thirsk for free time to visit the James Herriot Museum.

DAY 4


Today we travel to the lovely Yorkshire Spa town of Harrogate.

DAY 5


Day off at leisure.

In Ilkley, why not explore the Manor House, relax by the River Wharfe in the Riverside Gardens, enjoy a swim at the Ilkley Pool & Lido or discover vintage toys at the Ilkley toy museum.

The town also offers Victorian architecture, independent shops, cafes like Betty's, and the King's Hall and Winter Garden theatre venue.  

DAY 6


After breakfast we leave the hotel to travel home.
