ITINERARY

DAY 1:
After pickups we travel to Greenwich to visit the newly restored Painted Hall, the centrepiece of the Old Royal Naval College. Your guide will talk you through the story of how it came to be regarded as the ‘UK’s Sistine Chapel’ and the amazing work carried out during the recent £8.6 million makeover.

This afternoon takes a Jack the Ripper tour with a difference! Your guide will tell this infamous tale through the music of the times at various locations including East End churches and music halls. There he will play the piano, casting your thoughts back to a time when Jack the Ripper was at large outside on those very streets.

Afterwards to travel to our hotel for our one night stay.

DAY 2:
After breakfast we depart the hotel. There’s just time for one last story from the Capital, with a stop at The Postal Museum. Referred to as the ‘First Social Network’, take a ride on the exciting Mail Rail train which operated through the secret underground Post Office tunnels below London’s streets for over 80 years.  An excellent postal heritage exhibition includes millions of stamps, a great range of iconic postal post boxes, vintage postal uniforms, vehicles, and bicycles - so get your fill of postal nostalgia before you make your journey home.
