A coastal town, Malgrat de Mar is situated in the southern portion of the Costa del Maresme. Its coarse sand beach forms the backdrop for a calm sea which is ideal for all sorts of water sports. The Sant Nicolau de Bari Parish Church, a large building, is known as “the Cathedral of the Coast”. It’s very pleasant to take a walk through the square Placa de I’Esglesia, the street Carrer del Mar and the Can Campassol gardens

Only 25km from Malaga International Airport is the town of Fuengirola - one of the most popular destinations on the Costa Del Sol. Previously a tiny fishing village, Fuengorila has become a vibrant metropolis with character. The advent of many upmarket tapa bars and good restaurants, interspersed with chic boutiques and other shops of interest, as well as fabulous beaches, makes it the perfect holiday destination. The main square, Plaza de la Constitucion, has been re-designed but still retains its unique enchantment. A walk down the narrow, pedestrian street leading off the main square is a voyage of discovery for the many visitors, who come across some of the hidden secrets and delightful corners of this friendly, Andalucian town. One of Fuengirola’s main attractions is, of course, it’s wonderful five miles of sandy beaches, stretching from the Sohail Castle to the west and Torreblanca to the east.

The climate is the envy of many British mainland resorts and the atmosphere delightfully continental due to the Islands French heritage which is still very apparent. You can enjoy the wonderful atmosphere without any language problems or the need for passports. St. Helier is a shoppers paradise. Due to tax concessions, a wide range of goods are available at reasonable prices. Away from bustling St. Helier with its markets and restaurants Jersey presents its other face, sleepy granite villages and winding country lanes where wild flowers bloom in profusion.

Despite its relatively small size Jersey has 20 miles of sandy beaches. St. Helier is the main seaport situated on the southern coast. It is the administrative centre and largest town. The raising of Jersey cattle, a local breed, the cultivation of potatoes, tomatoes, fruits and flowers, fishing and tourism are the principal occupations. As well as the many excursions available you may want your own solitude and tranquility by hiring a car and wandering off the beaten track.
